The launch of For.Me by Elena Mirò, the new “curvy” project whose first spring/summer 2013 collection will hit the catwalk in the morning of 19 September, will be nothing but the foretaste of a great celebration.
Vogue and For.Me by Elena Mirò will host a joint event on the evening of the same day at the ABC Space in Corso Como 5, Milan.
The works produced by emerging international film directors will be screened in a location suitably personalised with the silhouettes of models wearing the For.Me by Elena Mirò fall/winter 2012 collection. The film directors – whose names are Antoine Asseraf & René Habermacher (France and Switzerland), Cathrine Westergaard & Nathaniel Kramer (U.S.A.), Luca Finotti and, last but not least, Vincenzo Schioppa (both Italian) – have produced actual short films to narrate the ambience of the new collection and the mystique it embodies.
The four girls who won the “Curvy and Glam” competition – an online casting carried out by the editors of Vogue to look for 44/46-sized girls, whose faces and figures are ideal to embody the new collection – will be presented in the same evening.
To suitably mark the importance of the event, the evening will end with a live performance by Nina Zilli, ideal spokesperson of the “curvy” universe.
