The “Voce del Verbo Moda” project conceived by “Circolo dei Lettori Torino” (Turin Readers Circle) and dedicated to exploring the ever-changing phenomenon of fashion will see the Miroglio Group renewing its testimony to the ties linking company to territory.
“Voce del Verbo Moda” presents a thoughtful look on the theme of fashion through dialogue with writers, stylists and members of the business community, as well as readings, exhibitions and lessons of style. In taking part in the program the Miroglio Group is placing the accent on the forms and practices of integration and contamination between fashion and contemporary art, a theme which has been at the centre of the company’s development for some time now in its pursuit of merging work with cutting edge culture.
Inside the Circolo dei Lettori it will be possible to admire the dresses designed during the “Elena Mirò. Art & Fashion” creative workshop, when twelve up-and-coming stylists were invited to take inspiration from “La notte barbara”, a work by the artist Pinot Gallizio, in coming up with an original creation.
During the event’s inaugural evening on Monday 15 October, Carlo Callieri and Elena Miroglio, Miroglio Group President and Executive Vice President respectively, will be taking part in “Quando l’arte incontra l’industria” (When art meets industry) to present the experimental project Metri d’Arte (Metres of Art) which originated out of the synergy between the designers of the Miroglio Textile Style Office and three artists called on to create fabrics inspired by the subject of dreams.
On Wednesday 17 October, as part of the series of “Storie d’impresa” encounters dedicated to giving voice to Made in Italy fashion entrepreneurs and managers, Caractère Brand Manager Marta Sannito will talk about the history and evolution of this brand through the ‘90s and the first decade of this century.
On Friday 19 October, femininity and curves will be the subject of conversation with the journalists Daniela Fedi and Lucia Serlenga, authors of the book “Curvy. Il lato glamour delle rotondità” (Curvy. The glamorous side of shapeliness) (Mondadori), to reveal the secrets that make all shapely sizes glamorous and happy.
During the course of Friday 19th, moreover, customers entering the Elena Mirò and Caractère stores in Turin will find a personal shopper at their disposal to add value in style and character when choosing the best outfit.
