MAFED. Franco Miroglio scholarship

The Miroglio Group is funding a Master in Fashion, Experience & Design Management (MAFED) scholarship dedicated to the memory of Franco Miroglio, in collaboration with the SDA Bocconi School of Management.
On the opening of the selections for the XII edition of the Master in Fashion, Experience & Design Management (MAFED), the Miroglio Group decided to sponsor a scholarship for one worthy Italian applicant. Fully covering the cost of enrolling in the course, the initiative is dedicated to the memory of Franco Miroglio, a key figure alongside his brother Carlo in laying the foundations which enabled the Group to achieve its current international standing.
As well as confirming the Miroglio Group’s long tradition in investing in the training and development of human resources, the initiative represents a moment of particular focus on the world of deserving young people who have a deep interest in the fashion and textiles industry along with the desire to undertake an international career in fashion.
MAFED was designed in collaboration with the Altagamma Foundation with the purpose of developing young talents from all over the world in the aspects of management which are crucial in the fashion, design and luxury sectors. Held in Milan in English, the Master is unique in international terms, benefiting from the contributions of teachers of considerable experience and high profile guest speakers. The syllabus envisages traditional-style lectures and frequent visits to local companies and organizations, as well as providing for intensive work experience. Founded and directed by Stefania Saviolo, in eleven editions MAFED has seen around 500 students pass through its classrooms before going on to become successful managers or entrepreneurs capable of handling the extreme complexities of the production, distribution and communication of products and services in the fashion/design industry.
For the Bocconi School of Management, the support given to the Master by private concerns such as the Miroglio Group - the first example of a scholarship in MAFED’s history - constitutes an unmistakeable acknowledgement of the validity of the course from both training and professional points of view, qualifying it as an effective tool for the successful introduction of its graduates in managerial roles in companies specializing in fashion, design and luxury.
