The collaboration between Caractère and eclectic illustrator-portrait artist Paolo Galetto continues in the Fall/Winter 2014-15 season and produces a series of 2 foulards featuring subjects inspired by the female spirit.
In this way, Galetto’s artwork forms the basis for a special edition collection that will be presented at the Miroglio Piazza Scala store in Milan on Vogue Fashion’s Night Out (16 September 2014 from 7.30 pm).
To mark the occasion there will be specially-dressed windows and the artist will be appearing in the store.
Born in Turin in 1962, Paolo Galetto worked as a visualiser for many years, creating hundreds of storyboards for some of the most important brands in the world and the film industry. At the same time he has always painted.
Visual artist, illustrator and portrait painter, he concentrated firstly on landscapes and then on the human figure. He then switched his attention to the fashion world and portraits. His commissioned serial works, in which he has perfected a technique that lies somewhere between his research and a more marked communicative approach, include the “Voguettes”, female portraits produced for Vogue Italia.Since March 2010 the culture page of “La Stampa” has included his portraits of leading thinkers, novelists and intellectuals. He currently divides his time between Turin and Paris.
