At Première Vision this February in Paris, Miroglio Textile will present a project that is the fruit of a partnership with Mantero: “Archivio Mantero and Miroglio Textile”.
The Miroglio and Mantero groups are both run by the fourth generation of two great families of the Italian textile industry. Here they have come together to combine their skills and respective know-how in order to create an exclusive collection of scarves in various fabrics, designs and sizes. Each piece is a precious textile accessory, capable of preserving and representing the history, the cultural heritage and the commitment and passion of two prodigious businesses that are the pride of Made in Italy.
Mantero has been creating, weaving and printing fabrics and accessories for the world of luxury and fashion in its headquarters in Como since 1902. The company has put into play its creativity, style and taste in the creation of designs for print that have made it, over the space of a century, a market leader. Its textile archives contain some of the most extraordinary and unique designs in the world: more than 100 years of history gathered together and now presented to its clients. It contains a collection of over 10 thousand volumes, images and colours, fabrics and designs from the past not just of Mantero but also the brands it has acquired over the years, it is enriched by the addition of important French, English, German and American textile archives, some of which date back to the 18th century.
Miroglio Textile has the task of producing and distributing some of this collection, bringing into play the excellence in manufacturing, production and distribution for which it is known. Having been a guiding light in textile printing worldwide for over 60 years, Miroglio Textile has accumulated a rich cultural heritage which is constantly evolving thanks to the latest technological digital printing solutions. Technological innovation, environmental awareness and a creative vision of business have made possible the creation of “E.volution™ by Miroglio Textile”, the platform that offers an incredible range of printing solutions whilst respecting even the most uncompromising sustainability credentials.
The patterns that form the project Archivio Mantero and Miroglio Textile were selected in line with market trends. The dominant patterns of the collection are the floral themes (romantic fauna or flowers reproduced with a photographic perspective or in 70s-psychedelic style), the materials (effects created to highlight textures), the indigos (a reinterpretation of marine themes), the classic lines (which include, for example, jungle effect drawings, detailed and defined) and the geometric themes (ranging from optical effects with contrasting colours, to those inspired by the art of Pollock and Andy Warhol, to ethnic themes, mixing up different cultures and style icons.
The collection will be on show at the Miroglio Textile booth A26/B25, Hall 5, February 18 – 20, Special visits: 18 - 19 February at 10.30 – 14.30 – 16.30, 20 February at 11.00
